I hope you are well in these strange times. They syrup season is going well for us. It was an early start but we have had strong flows. On Friday the 20th of March, ahead of the freeze up, we boiled over 24,000 litres! Last year we didn’t even start boiling till March 15th.
We are worried with the cancellation of two of our large marketing events: Maple Weekend, and the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival. So far, the Butter Tart Festival is still a go. We may hold an event here when this is all over. You can find fresh Williams maple syrup at Grounded Coffee Midland, Nicholyn Farms and the Creemore 100 mile Store. Please check with them about how they are handling COVID 19 before you go.
Here on the farm we have our farm store stocked for self serve. Please bring cash to go in our cash box, or send me an email interac transfer ahead of time. We have some change in the store and will be monitoring the store several times each day to restock, disinfect, and collect cash. If you happen to arrive at the same time as other customers, please only one group at a time in the store and keep your distance outside. Please don’t come if you are sick with anything.
